Sometimes a place finds you before you understand why.
A quiet path. A small clearing. A feeling that something in your life is shifting, even if you can’t quite name it yet.
For me, that place became the Grove.
Hello, fellow friends.
March seems to be arriving not only on rolls of rainy clouds, but also with those gorgeous days where fresh greenery begins to peek through the earth again. After the darker days of winter, it feels like a quiet and welcome return of life.
This year, March feels especially meaningful to me.
It has been nearly a full turning of the wheel since I first stepped off the path from the village and discovered the Grove. At the time, I didn’t realize what I had found. I only knew that it felt like a place where I could sit for a while – somewhere quiet enough to think, to question, and to slowly rebuild my understanding of the world around me.
Looking back now, I see that it was here that something began to grow.
Over the course of this past year, I realized something gentle but powerful: I have always been myself, and yet I have also become Mae Everly Grove – the keeper of this little space. The one who tends the fire, keeps the kettle warm, and holds the door open for those who may wander in.
One day, after more seasons of walking and learning, the Grove may open more fully to other seekers.
But for now, it remains my refuge.
It is a place where I share small discoveries, quiet joys, and simple reflections in my own voice. Sometimes you will find observations of the seasons here. Other times it may be thoughts from a book I’ve read after traveling back through the village. And sometimes it will simply be reflections on life itself.
But almost always, there will be a question waiting for you too – an invitation to pause and wonder how these things meet you in your own life.
The Grove is a sanctuary.
It is a place where you can step away from the village for a while. Where the air feels softer, and where a small basket sits by the cottage door with simple gifts – journaling pages, reflections, and quiet tools for those who need them.

The Grove is a place you can visit when you want to rediscover a bit of magic. When you need a break from routines. When you want to sit with the seasons and notice how they move through your life as well.
Because the truth is, we all carry a Grove within us – a quiet place of our own inner being.
As this Grove grows, so do I.
As keeper, I simply tend the spaces within it:
the circle where we gather,
the meadow where we meet,
the table where tea is shared and conversations wander,
the garden where learning takes root,
the living room where books are opened,
and the kitchen where something warm is always brewing in the cauldron.
I don’t yet know where this journey will lead.
But I do know that I have a vision for it.
For now, we gather simply – in the meadow, or at the kitchen table – with free gifts waiting in the basket by the cottage door.
You may come here and stay a while.
Or you may simply pass through.
But above all, I hope that when you arrive, you feel something important: the quiet safety of being yourself.
Because after all the seasons I have walked through, I sometimes wish I had found a place like this sooner. And if the Grove can be that place for someone else – even for a moment – then it is worth keeping the fire lit.
So come in, fellow friends.
I’ll put the kettle on.
And we can sit together for a while as we grow.
With warmth and tea,
Mae Everly Grove 🫖
Gentle Reflections for Your Own Grove
If you feel called to linger a little longer, you might enjoy sitting with one of these reflections:
- Where in your life do you currently feel the quiet beginning of something new?
- What does your own inner “Grove” look like – the place where you feel most yourself?
- When was the last time you allowed yourself to step away from the noise of daily life and simply reflect?
- What part of yourself are you slowly rediscovering as this new season begins?
- If your life were a landscape, what season would it be in right now?
And if you’d like to wander a little deeper into the Grove, there are a few quiet offerings waiting for you.
Below you’ll find the basket by the cottage door, where seasonal journaling pages and reflections are kept, and the Grove podcast, where we sit together and talk through the rhythms of the season.
